STARS National School Award Scheme

STARS National School Award Scheme

Category: News

The Department for Transport is supporting the expansion of Modeshift STARS (Sustainable Travel Accreditation and Recognition Scheme), a national school awards scheme to recognise schools that have demonstrated excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel.

The scheme encourages schools right across the country to join in a major effort to increase levels of sustainable and active travel and in so doing, improve the health and well-being of children and young people.

Modeshift STARS is open to any local authority and school in England and schools participating in the scheme can include their Bikeability cycle training programmes as evidence towards an award application. The scheme is free for any school to join. For more information on the Modeshift STARS award scheme, please visit this website: http://modeshiftstars.org/
