Frog Bikes
The Bikeability Trust is pleased to be working with Frog Bikes to provide high quality children’s bicycles which are specifically designed with children in mind.
Terms of engagement for Providers
All registered Bikeability training providers may purchase bicycles from Frog Bikes Ltd at a 25% discount (From RRP ex VAT).
For example, the Tadpole at £160 (inc VAT) would be a cost of £100 (ex VAT) (Full list prices available from Frog Bikes Ltd).
The purpose of this agreement is to provide a means for Bikeability providers to purchase high quality bikes, which may then be used as hire/loan fleets for training.
The purpose is not for providers to sell the bikes for profit. Providers wishing to sell Frog bikes to the public should enter into a separate trade agreement with Frog Bikes Ltd.
It is recognised that the bikes purchased through this scheme become the property of the Bikeability provider, and that bikes purchased through this partnership agreement may be sold at the discretion of the provider, to families taking part in Bikeability courses, as ex-hire bikes.
Bikes that are sold on will need a full PDI by a qualified mechanic as outlined below.
Upon application, Bikeability providers will need to provide details of their bike builders, trained to a minimum of Level 2 Cytech or City&Guilds in cycle maintenance or equivalent. A partnership with a local bike shop is also acceptable (with a qualified mechanic able to build the bikes).
For Bikeability providers wishing to take part in this scheme, please follow these steps:
- Go to Frog Bikes trade account website set up;
- Trade Customers
- Please select Business type as ‘Trainers’
- Please insert your Bikeability Provider ID number into Reference 1
- Please insert your mechanic qualifications/details into Reference 2 and send in copies of these to info@frogbikes.com
- Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email from customer services that your account has been opened and you are able to order online at a discount of 25% off RRP.
